This policy explains what information this website collects, why, who it's shared with and the choices you have. The site is run by Garrick Plaisted. If you have a question, email gqplaisted@gmail.com.

What I collect

Contact messages: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form.
Email lists: your email address when you join the training list, shop updates or a product launch list.
Accounts: your name, email address and password (stored only in encrypted form) if you create an account.
Purchases: your name, email address, billing country, what you bought, the amount, your license keys and your order history.
Technical information: like most websites, the server records basic request details (IP address, browser and pages requested) in its logs to keep the site running and secure.

Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and never reach this website.

Why I use it

To reply to your messages.
To deliver what you bought: license keys, downloads, updates, receipts and support.
To run your account and sign you in.
To send the emails you asked for. Every list email can be turned off in your account or by asking me.
To keep the site secure and meet legal and accounting requirements.

I don't sell your information, and I don't use it for advertising.

Who helps run the site

Stripe processes payments (see Stripe's privacy policy).
Resend sends the site's emails.
DigitalOcean hosts the website and its database in the United States.

They only receive what they need to provide their service.

Cookies

The site uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms from abuse, and remembers your Classic/Playful theme choice in your browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long I keep it

Order records and license keys: as long as required for tax and accounting, typically seven years.
Accounts: until you delete your account.
Email list sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
Contact messages: up to two years.
Server logs: a few weeks.

Your choices

See and change your details, email preferences or password from My account, or delete your account there.
Ask me for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing gqplaisted@gmail.com. Some purchase records have to be kept for accounting.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), stores passwords only in encrypted form and limits who can access the server. No system is perfectly secure, but I work to keep your information safe.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
